Q:

When do I need to migrate?

A:

After December 2023, all service and support for Easy Dental will come to an end. You will no longer receive software updates, support or training, and there will no longer be a guarantee that your software will continue to function. The only support we will be able to provide after this date is assisting in migration to one of the other Henry Schein One products (i.e. Dentrix or Dentrix Ascend).

Q:

How do I migrate from Easy Dental to Dentrix?

A:

Once you confirm you’d like to migrate using the form above:

  • A migration specialist will contact you via phone call to walk through all of the details and schedule a date for your migration to Dentrix to begin.
  • We’ll want to make sure your hardware is prepared for the migration, so we will schedule an assessment of your technology and equipment provided by TechCentral during that conversation.
  • After that, we’ll schedule a few appointments via phone conversations to install Dentrix in your office. This includes converting your Easy Dental data to Dentrix.
  • Lastly comes training. As part of the migration process our team will work to educate and train your staff of this new software and its features. You will also be provided with on-demand educational resources.

What support do I have from Henry Schein One?

Q:

What’s going to change when I migrate to Dentrix?

A:

Although it’s a different software, Dentrix has many similarities to Easy Dental that other practice management solutions do not have. You’ll be able to maintain your workflows while using upgraded and enhanced features in Dentrix that can help you improve productivity and office workflows. Once you’ve switched to Dentrix, you’re going to wonder how you ever lived without it. Q:

How much will it cost to migrate to Dentrix?

A:

Migration to Dentrix will come at a special price to you. In an effort to make your migration as seamless as possible, we have put together a migration package never offered before. This includes Dentrix Software, converting your patient data to Dentrix, and 12 hours of training. Upon agreeing to migration, you will need to subscribe to a support bundle, but our team will work with you to define what support bundle fits your needs.

Q:

What does end-of-service mean?

A:

“End-of-service" (EOS) and "End-of-Life" (EOL) are terms used by software vendors to communicate they are ending product support (including software updates) on outdated software to focus efforts on more up-to-date products.

Q:

What does end-of-service for Easy Dental mean for me?

A:

Why is Henry Schein One doing this to Easy Dental?

A:

 We want to ensure our customers keep up with ever-changing technology. As an older solution, Easy Dental will eventually lead to increased security and functionality issues. Therefore, Henry Schein One strives to help improve your practice with a platform that includes updated features, support, and security. That’s why we are providing an easy migration plan to Dentrix.

Q:

What happens if I stay on Easy Dental and don’t migrate to Dentrix?

A:

Using Easy Dental after the end-of-service date could be problematic. Any number of scenarios could occur, including:

  • A future Windows update could result in Easy Dental or one of your third-party integrations becoming inoperable.
  • A new security vulnerability could be exploited, possibly putting your patient information at risk.
  • Staff turnover may be challenging because of the lack of training resources on an older, out-of-date software.
  • Data corruption can occur causing information and or patient data to become unreliable.
  • New state or insurance regulations could be instated, and Easy Dental would not be able to help you comply with them.

The best way to avoid these potential issues is to upgrade to Dentrix.

Q:

What happens if I decide to move to Dentrix?

A:

We realize changing your practice management software can be disruptive to your practice. To help minimize this disruption, we’re offering an excellent promotion to Easy Dental users during this time. Because Dentrix is more similar to Easy Dental than any other practice management software (PMS) on the market today, it will allow you to keep the workflows you like while getting upgraded features. Additionally, we have migration specialists in place just to help you through it.

Once you confirm you’d like to migrate using this form:

  1. A migration specialist will contact you via phone call to walk through all of the details and schedule a date for your migration to Dentrix to begin.
  2. We’ll want to make sure your hardware is prepared for the migration, so we will schedule a technology assessment, provided by TechCentral, of your technology and equipment.
  3. After that, we’ll schedule a few appointments via phone conversations to install Dentrix in your office. This includes converting your Easy Dental data to Dentrix.
  4. Last comes training. As part of the migration process, our team will work to educate and train your staff on this new software and its features. You will also be provided with on-demand educational resources.

Q:

What should I do if I have questions or additional concerns with upgrading to Dentrix?

A:
